The Earth is getting warmer every year.
This change is called global warming, and it is becoming a serious problem.
One main reason is greenhouse gases.
Factories, cars, and power plants produce gases like carbon dioxide.
These gases trap heat in the air, just like a blanket around the Earth.
Because of this, heat cannot escape into space.

As the Earth gets warmer, many changes happen.
Ice at the North and South Poles melts faster than before.
Sea levels rise, and some places experience floods.
Other places suffer from long dry periods or stronger storms.
Humans are not the only ones affected.
Animals lose their homes when ice melts or forests disappear.
The good news is that people can help.
Saving electricity, using public transportation, and recycling can reduce greenhouse gases.
Even small actions can help slow down global warming.
